Phelan seems reserved and laid back at first, quitely assessing the situation before doing anything but once you get him relaxed, he's a very passionate man. Coming from a rustic family, he's lived the hard life and knows how to take care of himself. When it comes to others, he's at a loss. Spending long days by himself in a less-than adequate home with a family too busy trying to live on it's megear earnings to raise him, Phelan clings to anyone who makes him feel like he's important to them. It's a trait that nearly kills him.
